Thanksgiving is almost here and I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you what I am thankful for as a veteran nurse, mom and woman. Maybe some of these items will be among your list of things to be thankful for.
- I thank God for the strength and wisdom to care for others better than I could ever do alone.
- I thank God for giving me my three children through adoption because they are a blessing. I don’t know who I would be without them. And my Sadie puppy too, who is now 13 years old.
- I am thankful that I can see all the Glory around me, the beautiful country I live in, the rainbow of colors in the world, the people, earth, sky that give me joy every morning when I rise and have breath.
- I am thankful for all the people in my life who help make my life what it is and every encounter whether it be positive or not so positive that makes me a better person.
I hope this resonates with some of you and gives you better insight to who I am. I love my nursing practice, I have committed my life to my career and because of the above I have been able to continue practicing for as long as I have.
What are you thankful this year? Let me know in the comments below.
